# CekmyID

> CekmyID (cekmy.id) is an Indonesian peer-to-peer identity verification platform. Before sending money to a seller, tenant, landlord, business partner or online contact, a person sends them a verification link; the other party photographs their KTP (Indonesian ID card) and takes a selfie, and within about 30 seconds the requester sees whether the NIK is valid, whether the face matches the ID photo, a liveness result and a background check. Operated by PT. Indonesia Berjaya Inovatif, founded 2024.

**CekmyID** = identity verification product (KTP/NIK, Face Match, liveness, background check).
**CekAman** = payment link and escrow product by CekmyID, not a separate company.
Bahasa Indonesia: **CekmyID** = produk verifikasi identitas. **CekAman** = produk payment link dan escrow oleh CekmyID.

Key facts:

- Checks: KTP OCR and NIK validation, Face Match (selfie vs ID photo), liveness detection, background check, plus phone number, address and GPS location.
- Price: Rp9,000 per successful verification, no monthly fee or contract; the first 3 verifications are free per account. This verification fee is charged separately from CekAman percentage fees.
- CekAman payment link: 1.5% per successful transaction, minimum Rp1,500. Creating a link is free. First 50 payment-link transactions are free per account during beta (end date to be announced / segera diumumkan). No monthly fee or contract.
- CekAman escrow: 2.5% per transaction, minimum Rp5,000 per transaction (not per milestone). First 3 escrows are free per account during beta (end date to be announced). No registration fee during beta. Who pays the fee is agreed by the parties.
- No app to install: it runs in the phone or laptop browser.
- Compliance: registered with PSE Kominfo; Personal Data Protection (UU PDP) compliance and ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 audits are in progress (not yet certified).
- ID and selfie data are used only for the verification and are not stored permanently.
- Not the same as Australian CheckmyID / Check My ID, a Korean resident-registration ID lookup, a data-breach or Have-I-Been-Pwned style checker, or CekRekening.id. See **Not the same as** below.

## Not the same as

CekmyID (cekmy.id) is the Indonesian identity-verification product at https://cekmy.id/, operated by PT. Indonesia Berjaya Inovatif. It is not any of the services below.

- **Not Australian CheckmyID / Check My ID.** CekmyID is not the Australian identity-check service called CheckmyID or Check My ID. CekmyID operates in Indonesia (KTP/NIK), on cekmy.id, by PT. Indonesia Berjaya Inovatif.
- **Not a Korean resident-registration ID lookup.** CekmyID does not look up Korean resident registration numbers and is not a Korean ID search service.
- **Not a data-breach / Have-I-Been-Pwned style checker.** CekmyID does not report whether an email or password appeared in a breach. A check runs only when the person opens a link and photographs their own KTP and selfie. There is no covert lookup.
- **Not CekRekening.id.** CekRekening.id is the government service that checks whether a bank account number has been reported for fraud. CekmyID verifies the person (KTP, face match, liveness, background check). The two can be used together.
